Summer School Announcement: Peace Education & Women’s Rights Registration Open 20th June 2025
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Annual Summer School on Peace Education and Women’s Rights, a global initiative focused on advancing gender justice and empowering communities through education and dialogue.
This year’s theme, “Rights of Indigenous Women,” highlights the urgent issues faced by women across the world, especially Indigenous women, including gender-based violence, cyber harassment, and structural discrimination. According to global reports, nearly one in three women experience violence in their lifetime, with Indigenous and marginalized women being particularly vulnerable.
The Summer School serves as a platform for scholars, students, activists, and professionals to explore pressing topics such as:
- Violence against women and girls, especially Indigenous women
- Cyberviolence and digital harassment
- Women in conflict zones and displacement
- Legal systems and cultural barriers
- Community-based responses and grassroots activism
In addition to addressing gender-based violence, the program integrates Peace Education—a transformative approach that fosters human rights, gender equality, intercultural understanding, and conflict resolution.
Format:
- First Edition (Online): Focus on Indigenous Women’s Rights
- Future Editions (Hybrid): Hosted in Benicàssim, Spain
